Our yoga classes are rooted in Hatha yoga—focusing on uniting mind, body, and breath to cultivate balance, strength, flexibility, and vitality.

  • Some sessions are more yang (dynamic flows, with active muscle engagement).

  • Some are more yin (long-held, passive postures to nurture the deep connective tissues) or restorative (centered on full relaxation and comfort).

I’m Mariana (AKA Nita), Venezuelan, storyteller, tired mama, and certified yoga teacher.

Yoga has been part of my life since high school, but I fell in love with teaching during my 50-hour Yin YTT. That experience led me to complete my 200-hour YTT, confirming that this practice is my homecoming.

Movement, breath, and mindfulness have been a lifeline since I moved to Canada—and now I’m devoted to bringing them into the community.

My teaching style is slow and mindful, focused on awareness, agency, and listening to the body first. I see cues as invitations, not instructions. I acknowledge the mind is often loud and distracting, and that stillness, although it’s medicine, can also be quite challenging—but that’s why we practice.

FAQs

  • Classes are designed for everyone, regardless of their yoga experience. Whether you're an experienced, intermediate, or beginner practitioner, I'll provide variations and prop suggestions to make the poses accessible.

    Listen to your body first. If any pose doesn't feel right, you can always modify or skip it. If you're pregnant, be mindful not to go as deep and avoid long holds in yin yoga classes.

  • ✨ Yoga mat (or a comfortable surface to move on)

    ✨ Water, tea, or beverage of choice

    ✨ Props:

    • Yoga blocks

    • Bolster

    • Blanket

    • Strap

    No props? No problem! Get some cushions, a blanket you can roll up like a bolster, thick books you can stack, etc.

    ✨ Notebook and pen to jot any thoughts, if that's your jam.

    ✨ Cozy items are also encouraged!

    *NOTE: Specific events or workshops may call for other things to bring or may already include some of the above—but no worries, I’ll let you know!

  • Online classes operate on a 'pay what you can' basis.
